Whether it's in your living room, on a stage or in a studio, you should be dancing!
There are unlimited amounts of benefits to dancing.
To start somewhere with this unending list of benefits, let's give you a taste of what dancing at a studio has to offer you:
PASSION
The most important thing that a studio aims to invoke in their dancers, is passion.
Passion for music, fitness, culture, dance itself and more, is what a studio can offer.
Let's face it, life can be draining and without passion to drive you, it can become quite grey. Finding a space that fuels the fire in your soul, should be priority.
A studio is the perfect source of gasoline to ignite and fuel your passion.
Passion is the #1 way of getting creativity flow.
DISCIPLINE
From a very young age we learn to test the limits and know the bounds of our abilities.
This creates a desire for structure and boundaries in all of us. To know where we are safe and have solid ground to stand on. Many studies have concluded that children who tend to push our buttons and constantly test their limits are simply seeking structure and discipline.
Studios create a safe space where you simultaneously test your limits and build up discipline for the outside world from a young age.
SELF-CONFIDENCE
Have you or your child been wanting to improve on the following areas?
courage to make hard decisions
ability to motivate yourself and others
experience of performing in front of a crowd
face new people/experiences eagerly
Self-confidence is what you need...
Studies have proven that self-confidence increases with exposure to social environments. Coincidentally socialising makes up a big part of the studio experience. Studios love to encourage constructive social interactions where the teachers can motivate and equip the dancers to best handle these interactions, especially when this area is a challenge for them.
PHYSICAL HEALTH
Staying fit and body conscious isn't something done with much eagerness, for most people. Yet when it comes to dancing you somehow cannot wait for that fit/burning feeling in your muscles.
Joining in on a dance class brings health and fitness into an atmosphere of enjoyment, that makes staying body conscious that much easier. Dancing focusses on the balance of ALL muscles and bodily functions. Where strength will not be outweighed by flexibility and even the most insignificant of muscles become significant. When enhancing your stamina and range/ease of movement (without harming your joints) is something your body has been craving, challenge yourself to get out of your comfort zone and start dancing!
